A SOUTHAMPTON teenager who racially abused a police officer has been discharged conditionally.
A 16-year-old boy from Southampton, who cannot be named for legal reasons, racially abused a police officer in the city on August 23 last year.
The court heard how the boy used abusive, threatening and insulting language that were racially aggravated.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court on January 4, the boy pleaded guilty to one count of using threatening, insulting and abusive language to cause alarm or distress.
The boy was discharged conditionally for 18 months and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £17.
