MORE than 1,500 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Hampshire in the last 24 hours.
Public Health England figures - as recorded on the Government website at 4.30pm today (January 9) - show that 1,523 more people have tested positive for the virus in a 24 hour period.
Across Hampshire, there has been a total of 57,370 positive tests since the start of the pandemic in March 2020 - approximately 4.16 per cent of the county's population.
Yesterday, there were 1,704 cases recorded.

- Basingstoke and Deane: 232 (5,017 in total since start of pandemic)
- East Hampshire: 105 (3,231)
- Eastleigh: 87 (3,370)
- Fareham: 90 (3,217)
- Gosport: 41 (2,235)
- Hart: 86 (2,883)
- Havant: 109 (4,703)
- New Forest: 98 (3,706)
- Portsmouth: 156 (9,079)
- Rushmoor: 185 (4,990)
- Southampton: 198 (8,442)
- Test Valley: 85 (3,115)
- Winchester: 51 (3,382)
