A TEENAGER has been banned from the roads after he was caught driving while under the influence of ketamine.

Jody Vickers was caught drug driving in a Vauxhall Corsa on April 30 last year on the M27.

The 19-year-old was found to have ketamine in his blood, as well as THC - a breakdown product of cannabis.

The teen was found to be carrying 40g of cannabis, 20 tablets of Alprazolam and 3g of ketamine at the time.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving and three counts of drug possession.

Vickers, of Oak Coppice Road, Whiteley, was disqualified from driving for 18 months and ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £85.
