THEIR blazing bulbs have travelled the globe to ensure these bright sparks have a unique festive display.

Light fanatics Sharon Clark and Matt Cook have surfed the Internet since October in the hope of making their Hampshire home the best festively dressed.

With their 3D animated ladders, complete with plush toys and 19ft inflatable Santa and snowman all the way from America, Sharon believes they should be crowned winners of the Daily Echo Festive Lights competition.

Sharon and her partner began tripping the light fantastic five years ago after the birth of their daughter Ella, spending up to four weekends to get twinkling perfection.

And with their home in Pantheon Road, Chand-ler's Ford, proving such an attraction, the family have decided to raise money for Ramally pre-school which needs cash to build an outdoor play area for the children.

Fundraising Sharon, who works for a lighting company, said: "Our youngest daughter absolutely loves the lights; she is petrified of Santa and hates going to see him in his grotto but every year, without fail she is out helping us with the lights.

"We have brought in a few pieces from America because we like to have lights that people haven't seen anywhere else before.

"We have already spotted next year's new additions on American websites and I have my heart set on a 25ft inflatable.

"But it is all for a good cause because we want to help raise money for our daughter's school so they can build an outside play area which they are desperate for."

The Daily Echo has once again teamed up with Haskins Garden Centre for this year's competition. The winner will receive Haskins vouchers worth £300 and two runners-up will receive Haskins vouchers worth £100 each.
