THE clock above the county council headquarters in Winchester is usually a model of reliability.
But this week the tolls have been anything but regular, bonging out at irregular intervals.
A county council spokeswoman said: "We received calls about the clock being out of time and it has now been fixed.
"It's a temporary repair - it has to have parts specially made and will be permanently repaired in a couple of months' time when they are ready.
"Because it's old it is being a bit temperamental, but hopefully it will work fine now it's been looked at."
