Hampshire Constabulary seized drugs from a Southampton home this morning, reminding residents that work to stop drug dealing continues in lockdown.

The raid took place in the early hours at an address on Atherley Road in Shirley.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "I can confirm that a warrant was conducted at an address in Atherley Road this morning (11 January) as part of our ongoing commitment to tackling the supply of drugs.

"On this occasion no arrests were made and officers located a small amount of cannabis and some mobile phones."

In a Twitter post about the raid, Shirley Police said: "Covid 19 doesn't stop the dealing of illegal drugs, neither does it stop Southampton Police."

Hampshire Constabulary said enquiries into the case remain "ongoing."
