A FURTHER 26 new coronavirus deaths have been recorded across Hampshire in a 24-hour period.

Figures published by NHS England today (January 13) have revealed that a further 26 coronavirus patients have died in 24 hours.

This brings the county's overall total up to 1,136 deaths since the start of the pandemic in March.

A further 15 deaths were recorded at Portsmouth Hospitals Trust in the last 24 hours, bringing the Trust's total up to 515.

At University Hospital Southampton, there were six new deaths recorded bringing to total to 289 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

At Hampshire Hospitals Trust, five more deaths were recorded in 24 hours, bringing the total number up to 286 deaths.

No other deaths were recorded at any of the county's other Trusts.

Solent NHS Trust remains at four deaths and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust remains at 30.
