MORE than 1,000 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Hampshire in the last 24 hours.
Public Health England figures - as recorded on the Government website at 4.50pm today (January 18) - show that 1,043 more people have tested positive for the virus in a 24 hour period.
Across Hampshire, there has been a total of 69,284 positive tests since the start of the pandemic in March 2020 - approximately 5.03 per cent of the county's population.
Below are the confirmed cases by local authority on January 18:
- Basingstoke and Deane: 133 (6,167 in total since start of pandemic)
- East Hampshire: 63 (3,780)
- Eastleigh: 66 (4,168)
- Fareham: 55 (3,861)
- Gosport: 70 (2,726)
- Hart: 29 (3,455)
- Havant: 75 (5,618)
- New Forest: 73 (4,551)
- Portsmouth: 128 (10,850)
- Rushmoor: 89 (6,120)
- Southampton: 162 (10,318)
- Test Valley: 45 (3,751)
- Winchester: 55 (3,919)
