A WOMAN who threw her drink at a restaurant worker has been banned from a fast-food chain.

Courtney Stansbridge threw her drink at a Subway employee and then kicked the door at the London Road premises on her way out.

The-18-year-old along with “some other youths” had demanded free drinks which her victim refused to give out, a court heard.

A member of the public even offered to buy the group drinks “to calm them down”.

Stansbridge of Orchard Lane, Southampton was charged with criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 and assault by beating.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday she had previously pleaded guilty to the attack which happened at around 1.30am on September 2 last year.

Miss Taylor added, that while staying with the youth charity, Stansbridge had been drinking and taking drugs and had just come out of a toxic relationship.

Furthermore, it was argued that damage to the door was not caused solely by her client and that another member of the group had kicked it.

During sentencing, District Judge Peter Greenfield mentioned her lack of previous convictions, her age and the coronavirus pandemic.

He made her the subject of a 12 month community order which also bans her from entering any Subway during this time.

She was ordered to pay £150 compensation to her victim and £150 to the restaurant.

Stansbridge who laughed and joked as she walked free from court must also complete 20 days of rehabilitation.
