I am in total agreement with MaccA Paccatore's letter of January 11.
The teaching profession should be also a priority alongside the NHS.
After all if we don't have well educated future generations this country wouldn't have the income to pay for a decent NHS service.
The police should also have priority without law and order the country will not function.
On reflection we like every major country in the world has it's problems but on the whole we do quite a good job as a community based population.
The country is facing a situation as never before and all factions from government to workforce need to pull together instead of against each other so we can have a decent future for generations to come.
