POLICE in Eastleigh have reported two men from summons for breaching Covid rules.
The two men (aged 24 and 31) from separate households in London were caught travelling between London and Hampshire without "lawful reason."
They were stopped by police on Highbridge Road.
On Facebook, Eastleigh Police said: "We’ve reported for summons, in relation to fixed penalty notices, two men for breaches of the current Health Protection Regulations in Eastleigh.
"It’s after we stopped a vehicle yesterday afternoon on Highbridge Road.
"Two men from London, a 24-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, who were from different households were subsequently reported for summons as they had no lawful reason for travelling between London and Hampshire.
"Our officers will continue to engage, explain and encourage the public around the current Health Protection regulations. We will take enforcement action where blatant breaches of the legislation is observed."
