Police in Test Valley made an arrest last night after a driver was caught making an "unnecessary journey" after drinking alcohol.
The driver was stopped in Timsbury yesterday evening after a pursuit as the driver "didn't seem to want to stop and talk to [police.]"
On Facebook, Test Valley Police said: "If you are going to make an unnecessary journey during the Covid-19 emergency, it's an even worse idea to do it whilst drink-driving.
"The Rural Team have been stopping vehicles tonight in Timsbury as part of our #OpWerewolf burglary patrols. Someone didn't seem to want to stop and talk to #SgtTaylor and #PCSOCleary.
"We felt differently.
"Please stay at home and help to control the virus. Never get behind the wheel whilst over the limit. #StaySafe."
