POLICE have fined the owner of a Southampton tanning salon for operating in lockdown, after officers discovered people in the building with the lights off.
On Wednesday, a member of public reported three people entering the salon on Shirley High Street.
A spokesperson for Southampton Cops posted on Facebook: "On attendance, although the shop was in darkness there were a number of people located inside."
The owner of the business received a fine of £1,000 for breaching lockdown orders.
The post added: "Stay home, save lives."
