MOTORBIKE riders have been accessing private land in Hamble without permission, according to multiple police reports.

Riders gained unauthorised access to the land - known as Mallards Moor, and claimed to police that the owner has granted them access.

The area of land is located next to Hamble Lane.

In a post on Facebook, Hedge End Police said: "Recently, we have been getting multiple reports of people riding motor cross bikes on Mallards Moor (also known as Bunnies Field), located between Hamble Lane & Hungerford Bottom.

"When police have arrived and spoken to the individuals, they have stated that they have had permission from the land owner.

"However, we have now been able to speak with the landowner who has informed us that under no circumstances does anyone have their permission to ride on their property.

"Dog walkers and members of the public out for a stroll are welcome anytime though with Covid restrictions being adhered to."
