A DRUG driver has been disqualified from the road for a year.
James Alan Roy McCulloch was stopped by police whilst he was driving a 55-reg Ford Transit on the M27 at Hedge End on January 17 last year.
McCulloch, 30, of Wonston Lane, Sutton Scotney, near Winchester, was found to have a cannabis reading of 5.7ug/l more than double the legal limit of 2ug/l. He pleaded guilty to the charge.
Basingstoke Magistrates Court banned him for 12 months, fined him £300 and ordered he pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
