A DRINK driver caught in Winchester has been banned for 20 months.
James Andrew Benwell, 27, was stopped by the police on Easton Lane, Winnall, on July 19 last year, a court heard.
Benwell, of Temple Road, Oxford, was tested and his alcohol reading was 89 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35.
Magistrates in Basingstoke banned him for 10 months, imposed a £370 fine with a £37 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
The ban will be cut by 20 weeks if Benwell passes an approved course by March 1 2022.
