HUNDREDS took part, each of them keen to take in the beautiful scenery while raising money for a good cause.
Hampshire Wildlife Trust’s 12-mile Walk for Water Voles saw groups of participants join together to take a nature-filled yomp.
Itchen Valley Country Park is one of only three national strongholds for voles, and the walk helped to protect their home.
These pictures, taken June 11, 2000, show walkers enjoying themselves as they find their strides.
Itchen Valley Country Park remains open during the Covid-19 crisis, including the toilets and outdoor play areas. Woodland Café can provide hot drinks and pre-packaged food to takeaway.
