VILLAGE residents have been warned after a man was seen trying car handles.
The man was caught on CCTV trying "numerous" car door handles in the Netley Abbey area on Saturday.
The incidents are said to have happened between 11pm and 12am.
Officers believe that the man has managed to open a car and take a number of items from inside.
Police have now turned to the public for help and released the CCTV image of the man.
A police spokesperson said: "This isn't the first time something like this has happened and we are aware of this.
"It goes without saying but please check, and double check that your cars are locked, secured, and that no items are left on display.
"Any information will be greatly appreciated."
