AS Saints prepare to take on Newcastle in the Premier League, the Daily Echo looks back at when the Magpies took a thumping from Southampton.
Saints moved into the top four on September 13, 2014 after a convincing 4-0 victory over Newcastle.
Ronald Koeman’s side were utterly dominant in a great day for the club.
Graziano Pelle bagged two first half goals to put Saints into cruise control, Jack Cork added the team’s third, and his first league goal for the club, in the second period before Morgan Schneiderlin scored a fourth in stoppage time.
These pictures were taken on the day and show the fans at St Mary's Stadium.
