A SUPERMARKET giant has confirmed it will be opening its new Southampton store in the coming weeks.
Budget retailer Lidl is set to open its outlet on Brownhill Way on Thursday, February 25.
On the day there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony which will start at 7.45am.
The new outlet is part of the retailer's expansion plans across the UK which will see it open up to 50 new stores a year.
In September last year, Lidl opened a branch in Banister Road on the site of the former H.A Fox Jaguar showroom.
The Daily Echo has contacted Lidl for more information.
