SUICIDES from the Itchen Bridge in Southampton are becoming a more regular occurrence.
I have put some thought to this very sad situation and I think the problem ultimately is the cost.
So why could the toll not be increased by 10p until the safety netting or solution is paid for?
I am also quite confident that the majority would happily pay it if people’s lives are being saved.
Of course you will get the odd few complaining but lives will be saved.
I am not saying this will eliminate suicide in Southampton but it may reduce it.
If one person is alive I for one would be more than happy to pay.
Thankyou for hopefully reading this.
