TWO knives and more than 40 needles have been found in Southampton City Centre.
Yesterday, a number of PCSOs and Welfare Wardens carried out a 'knife sweep' in the city centre.
The team recovered more than 40 needles left "laying around" the parks and neighbourhoods.
They also located two large knives in the central area.
In a post on the 'Southampton Cops' Facebook page, a spokesperson said: "Today PCSO's and Welfare Wardens conducted a joint knife sweep across Southampton City Centre, 40+ needles had been recovered which were left laying around the parks and neighbourhoods.
"These two knives were found last week by a Welfare Warden in the central area."
