A MAN has been arrested after police found a 'significant' amount of drugs and cash in a car.
A 20-year-old man from Southampton was arrested yesterday on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property.
Officers conducted a search of the man, a vehicle and an address.
On the 'Southampton Cops' Facebook page, a spokesperson said: "This evening a 20 year old male from Southampton was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property.
"This was a result some good work by officers from the Southampton High Harm Team.
"A search of the person, a vehicle and an address led to a significant amount of Class A drugs and a large amount of cash being located.
"The drugs and cash are now safely tucked away in a large safe belonging to Hampshire Police and off of the streets. The male remains in police custody at this time."
