A GROUP of youths who gathered at a Hampshire park fled police when they tried to approach them.
Officers spotted the large group congregating on North Baddesley recreational ground last night towards the end of the park.
When the police started to approach the group to discuss the current Covid regulations, the youths fled the scene.
The group ran towards the community centre.
In a post on the 'Test Valley Cops' Facebook page, a spokesperson said: "Youths have been gathering in the Rec at North Baddesley recently. This evening several seen at end of park.
"When approached to engage they ran off towards the Community Centre.
"Please comply with the regulations to avoid police action as blatant breaches are now being dealt with more often with fines."
