MOTORISTS are being warned about motorway lane closures this week.

Between February 16-19, the M27 will be back to three live lanes westbound between J9 and J11.

Meanwhile, the eastbound carriageway will be reduce to two live lanes to accommodate daytime working.

The area covers the junctions between Park Gate and Fareham.

Safety barrier movements will all take place from 9.00pm to 6.00am the following morning due to safety requirements.

A spokesperson for Highways England said: "The movement of the safety barriers will need to be undertaken overnight to ensure the safety of our operatives and that of the travelling public. This activity may be noisy at times and we’ll do our best to mitigate disturbance to residents who might be adversely affected. Please note that work will only take place for one to two nights in each location as we move along the carriageway.

"As is always the case, these dates are subject to change due to operational requirements or adverse weather conditions. We therefore advise road users to plan their journeys in advance"
