MORE than 290 new positive cases have been recorded in Hampshire over the last 24 hours.

Public Health England figures - as recorded on the Government website - show that, as of 4pm today, 293 more people have tested positive for the virus.

Yesterday 274 people tested positive.

This brings the county's total to 86,045 cases since the start of the pandemic - around 6.25 per cent of the county's population.

  • Basingstoke and Deane: 25 (7,639 in total since start of pandemic)
  • East Hampshire: 8 (4,605)
  • Eastleigh: 13 (5,273)
  • Fareham: 14 (4,850)
  • Gosport: 22 (3,570)
  • Hart: 7 (4,064)
  • Havant: 16 (6,644)
  • New Forest: 21 (5,748)
  • Portsmouth: 46 (13,465)
  • Rushmoor: 16 (7,465)
  • Southampton: 68 (13,090)
  • Test Valley: 19 (4,966)
  • Winchester: 18 (4,666)
