REPORTING on 'Officers furious at vaccine snub' would lead readers to believe, from the comments the Hampshire Police Federation, that it was the Government's decision to set the vaccination priority for police officers lower than other groups.

In fact the priorities are set by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation which does not have any government representation in its membership.

Perhaps it would be better if our elected government did have a greater say in the priorities, rather than leaving it to the committee of 'experts' comprising 15 professors and doctors with only one lay member.
