PLANS to alter a listed building in the New Forest have been withdrawn by the applicant.
New Forest District Council (NFDC) is no longer studying an application relating to a property at St Thomas Street in Lymington.
Consent had been sought to convert part of the ground floor from retail to residential.
The proposal sparked a letter of support from a Lymington resident.
He said: "I fully support this application to adapt this listed building to a more sustainable use. Bringing back the flat to a habitable condition can only be of benefit."
But another Lymington resident an objection, saying they would "lose all privacy".
