EMERGENCY services were called to a crash in the New Forest that left two people injured.

One person was rescued after being trapped in their vehicle and the crash is currently under investigation and the road is now clear.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) said they were called to the scene in Station Road near Holmsley on the at 13:19 this afternoon (Saturday, February 20.)

Crews from Burley and New Milton were in attendance. 

Hampshire Fire Control also tweeted to say the road was blocked.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "This afternoon (13:19) crews from Burley and New Milton responded to an RTC (person trapped small vehicle) involving two private vehicles on Station Road, near Holmsley in Burley.

"One female casualty was handed over to the care of SCAS.

The incident was said to be resolved by 14:48.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: " We were called at 1.19pm this afternoon (Saturday 20 February) to a report of road traffic collision involving two vehicles in Holmsley.

"An orange Vauxhall Mokka and a blue Land Rover were involved in the collision at a junction on Station Road.

"The driver of the Vauxhall Mokka sustained a minor leg injury and a passenger in the Land Rover received minor back injuries.

"The incident is currently under investigation."
