A MAN caught more than twice the drink-drive limit has been banned from the roads.
Shay Ross Page was caught behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Polo at the junction of Trinity Street and Osborn Road in Fareham.
The 19-year-old of Fairfield Avenue was found to have 89 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit is 35 microgrammes making him 2.5 times the limit.
He pleaded guilty to the offence which happened on October 16 last year.
Appearing before Portsmouth Magistrates' Court he was given a 22-month ban.
He was fined £600 and must pay £85 in court costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
