FIVE people have been slapped with fines for breaching coronavirus restrictions in Test Valley.
In a Facebook post, Test Valley Cops said they stopped motorists in West Tytherley and Timsbury for breaking Covid rules.
The force was patrolling the borough in a bid to tackle rural theft and burglaries on Sunday night.
However, officers did stress "overwhelmingly people were keeping to the rules", and thanked the public for their compliance.
The post adds: "Thank you to those people and to everyone else who we didn't speak to because they were at home."
