A COUNCIL is set to meet today to discuss it's budget for the next financial year.
Eastleigh Borough Council will meet today to set out how the borough will respond financially after several lockdown's and restrictions throughout 2020.
The average Band D Council Tax has been set at £129.39, a decrease of 0.4 percent which is one percent below inflation.

In the agenda for a cabinet meeting on Monday where the budget was also considered, it states, the council "is committed to reducing the impact of Council Tax on residents and over the past 17 years the year on year increase has been below inflation."
The council will also be considering whether to approve two enhancements to its budget including allocating £20,000 to improve access to online services and another £20,000 to improve access to public transport.
These two recommendations are said to be aimed at enhancing the lives of residents and supporting the council's commitment to tackle the climate and environmental emergency.
