A BOY has been jailed for viciously stabbing a Southampton man in the neck and stomach.
A 14-year-old boy from the city and who cannot be named for legal reasons has been sent to a young offender institute for four years.
The teen previously pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed weapon after stabbing a man in Barnfield Road.
He had also been charged with attempted murder, however, a jury failed to reach a verdict following a trial in January.
Another boy also aged 14, pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon at a previous hearing. He appeared at Southampton Youth Court on Monday, 30 November 2020 for sentence and was given a 12-month referral order.
