MOTORISTS are being urged to plan ahead as overnight closures of a Hampshire motorway are set to start next month.

Those intending on using the M27 in Hampshire next month should plan ahead due to a series of overnight closures in both directions to allow essential work to take place.

The closures will take place on the M27 between junctions 4 (for the M3 interchange) and 11 (for the Wallington Interchange) in both directions to allow for gantry installations to take place. The closures will take place from 9pm to 6am, starting on Monday, March 1, until Sunday, March 21.

Drivers needing to use the M27 while the closures are in place are advised to plan ahead and leave extra time for their journeys.

All diversions will be fully signed, and closures are subject to change depending on operational requirements or adverse weather conditions.
