TERRIFIED staff at a Southampton bookies were confronted by a knife-wielding robber who stole hundreds of pounds from the till.
Two women cashiers aged 45 and 20 were confronted by the hooded man at Ladbrokes on Millbrook Road West.
The robber burst in and brandished a "large knife" before jumping over the counter and helping himself to around £700.
A female accomplice held the shop door open during the incident on Friday at 4.55pm. Both then fled in the direction of King George's Avenue.
The woman is described as being overweight and she was wearing a grey jacket and blue trousers.

A 22-year-old man from Southampton has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail until February 12.
