A SAFETY warning has been issued after a group of children were seen jumping off a bridge into the River Hamble.
Hillhead Coastguard Rescue Team was called to the Swanwick road bridge yesterday (Monday, March 1) folllowing the incident.
A coastguard statement said: "Team tasked to concerns for the safety of a group of children jumping off the Swanwick road bridge into the Hamble River at low tide.
"Officers attended and the children were all moved on safe.
"The first informant did the right thing as this had the potential for injury."
