BOSS Jonathan Woodgate confirmed Jack Stacey would be fit for selection ahead of tomorrow’s Championship showdown at Bristol City (7.45pm).

The Cherries full-back had been absent with a thigh problem picked up in the FA Cup fifth round at Burnley last month.

He had missed five league contests since sustaining the injury but has been out on the training pitches with Woodgate’s squad this week.

The head coach said: “Jack’s absolutely fine. He’s fit for selection, fit for Wednesday, so I am pleased.

“Him and Smudge (Adam Smith) will be good competition for each other. Smudge has been fantastic since I have been here – he’s missed one game against Burnley.

“But all the rest he has been very good and I am happy with him.”

One man set to miss out against the Robins is frontman Sam Surridge, who is still nursing a toe injury.

“Sam is still not right,” said Woodgate.

“He can’t really get a boot on still, his toe is that swollen. We will just have to wait and see what he’s like for the weekend.”
