AN ELDERLY lady from Eastleigh died after an unwitnessed fall, an inquest opening heard.
Kathleen Orme, 93, was pronounced dead at her Jubilee Close home on February 20.
She suffered a hip fracture and was taken to hospital, where an operation was undertaken.
Winchester Coroner's Court was told Ms Orme passed peacefully at home.
A post mortem report states the preliminary cause of death was a pulmonary embolism with a hip fracture contributing.
The full inquest has been adjourned to December 2.
