POLICE in Winchester arrested two men in connection with suspected class A drug offences yesterday evening. 

Officers seized "a quantity of money, drugs & phones" after entering the property on Battery Hill with a warrant around 7.20pm.

Two men, aged 19 and 20 are currently in custody. 

Winchester Police tweeted yesterday night about the incident stating: "Due to reports from the local area recently, the Neighbourhood team tonight executed a warrant at an address in Stanmore.

"A quantity of money, drugs & phones were located and 2 males were arrested for drug offences and are currently in custody."

A spokesperson from Hampshire Constaulary said: "Officers conducted two warrants at an address on Battery Hill, Winchester, as part of an ongoing investigation into drug supply in the city.

"A 20-year-old man from Winchester was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, and a 19-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
