ROADS in Poole have been closed off as emergency services deal with reports that a hand grenade has been found in a wooded area.
Dorset Police said a cordon is in place following the report from a member of the public who found what they believed was military ordnance in woods off Plantation Road in Poole.
Officers are in discussions with bomb disposal experts.
The area has been closed off to ensure the safety of members of the public.
Access to the woods is currently shut off alongside the road closures.

The incident comes just more than a week after a Second World War bomb was found in Exeter.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "Dorset Police received a report at 8.39am on Monday, March 8, that a member of the public had found what was believed to be a hand grenade in woods off Plantation Road in Poole.
"Officers are liaising with Explosive Ordnance Disposal experts and a cordon has been set up for the safety of members of the public, with road closures in place and access to the woods is currently closed.
"We would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the cordon is in place."
