A TOTAL of eight Hampshire schools have recorded at least one Covid-19 case so far in March as children head back into the classroom.

Eight schools are included on Hampshire County Council's list of schools that have reported cases in the last week, compared to 25 this time last month.

This list only covers schools under the remit of the County Council and for that reason, no Southampton schools or Independent schools have been included.

Although a school can record a positive case, this does not mean the infected person was in school at the time.

Below is a full list of the Hampshire schools with at least one recorded case since March 1, and the date the most recent case was recorded:

March 1

  • Oakridge - Basingstoke & Deane (Junior)

March 2

  • Balksbury - Test Valley (Infant)
  • The Key - Gosport (Education Centre)

March 3

  • Berrywood - Eastleigh (Primary)
  • Crofton Anne Dale - Fareham (Junior)
  • Norwood - Eastleigh (Primary)
  • St Michael's - Rushmoor (Infant)

March 4

  • Hart - Cranford Park (Primary)

No schools have been added to the county council's list after March 4.
