A MAN has been jailed for 23 weeks after two burglaries in Southampton.
Ryan Harvey, 25, of no fixed abode was jailed for 23 weeks after pleading guilty to the two burglaries.
The first took place at a property on Derby Road between 11pm and 11.50pm on January 18.
The owner of the home was indoors when he heard a noise from outside.
He noticed his shed light was on and upon going outside, saw Harvey run off and jump over a garden fence.
Items had been moved but nothing was stolen.
The second took place at an address in St Marys Road between 5.45pm and 6.05pm on January 24.
Harvey smashed a window to gain entry to a property that was undergoing renovation and unoccupied.
He was then seen leaving a short time later and running towards the fire station.
An angle grinder was stolen.
On March 12, Harvey pleaded guilty to the offences at Southampton Crown Court and was sentenced that day.
He was also found in breach of two suspended sentence orders imposed in October at Southampton Magistrates’ Court.
These were for two shoplifting offences that took place on October 20.
