POLICE have arrested a motorist who crashed into a field before fleeing on foot.
Hampshire officers made the arrest with the help of colleagues from Wiltshire following the incident at Appleshaw in the Test Valley.
A police spokesperson said: "Excellent work from our colleagues on the Response & Roads Policing teams up near Appleshaw, who safely detained a male who had made-off from police, driving dangerously and crashing into a field before fleeing on foot.
"We are grateful to have also been assisted by Wiltshire specialist units who came over into Hampshire to assist us."
