A CAR workshop was completely destroyed by fire in Southampton on Wednesday.
Eleven fire crews rushed to the scene of the incident in Old Redbridge Road.
Black smoke could be seen across parts of Redbridge and Millbrook as teams worked to tackle the blaze.
The fire was reported to Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service at around 6.40am.

A number of roads in Southampton had to be closed while emergency services dealt with the incident including the roads around Redbridge Causeway.

At one point, all outbound traffic from the City was diverted from Mountbatten Way with no traffic able to travel outbound on Mountbatten Way, Millbrook Road West, Redbridge Road, Redbridge Causeway.

The fire was extinguished by 12.08pm using two breathing apparatus, six jets and an aerial ladder platform.
Fire crews from Redbridge, St Mary’s, Hightown, Fareham, Eastleigh, Beaulieu, Lyndhurst, Hamble, Fleet and Ringwood attended along with the aerial ladder platform from St Mary’s and Romsey’s environmental protection unit are also in attendance.

Ten people had to be evacuated from local properties during the incident.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing but the incident is not believed to be suspicious.
