PLANS for a digital device that will display a different advertisement every ten seconds have been given the go-ahead.
Alight Media lodged an appeal after New Forest District Council rejected an application relating a site at Commercial Road, Totton, in November last year.
Now government-appointed planning inspector Andrew Bremford has quashed the council's decision.
His report says: "The site lies on a busy well-lit main road through the centre of Totton.
"There are a variety of business advertising signs associated with commercial premises in the vicinity.
"Thus the proposed digital advertisement display would be sited within a busy, well-lit, mainly commercial area where there is a significant amount of signage, some of which is illuminated."
