TWO men have been detained by police after they were chased for allegedly catapulting pheasants and poaching fish in Test Valley.
A 19-year-old man from Southampton and a 19-year-old man from Totton were both detained and reported for summons following reports of poaching in Houghton Road, Houghton, on Sunday evening (March 28).
Two men were reportedly spotted shooting pheasants and when police arrived, after they were called at 7.38pm, they found a vehicle that was apparently used by the suspects.
The vehicle and both men were stopped and searched by officers, where a number of catapult, ball bearings, pheasants and fish were discovered and seized following a short chase in the borough.
Both are due to appear in court, according to a Facebook post from Test Valley Cops.
