A MAN has been arrested after a car chase in Southampton. 

Yesterday at around 4pm, police patrolling the area around Lordshill District Centre spotted a car being driven by "a person of interest".

The car is then said to have sped off before being abandoned by the two occupants. 

The passenger, a man aged 20, was found whilst fleeing and arrested by officers on bicycles.

He was arrested on a warrant issued by Croydon Magistrates Court.  

The driver of the car, a 33-year-old man managed to flee and is now wanted for driving without a licence and assaulting a police officer.
