A MAN caught with a kilo of cannabis must pay just over £300 in costs and fines.
Alex Peter Havill was caught with a kilo of cannabis.
The 26-year-old of Leighton Road, Southampton was charged with a single count of possessing a class B drug.
Appearing before Southampton Magistrates' Court he indicated a guilty plea to the offence which happened on August 3 last year.
He was fined £200.
Havill must pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.
Meanwhile, the court ordered the drugs to be destroyed.
