HE'S the one that you want.

Peter Andre is to guest star in Grease the Musical when it plays its rescheduled dates at Mayflower Theatre later this year.

The singer and TV personality will play Teen Angel and Vince Fontaine in Southampton from November 9 to 13 following a stint in the show in 2019.

The much loved musical is back grittier and more glamorous than ever before, ready to reignite your passion for Grease and reintroduce you to an explosion of summer loving.

After a whirlwind summer romance, leather-clad greaser Danny and girl-next-door Sandy are unexpectedly reunited when she transfers to Rydell High for senior year. But can they survive the trials and tribulations of teenage life and find true love once more?

With its phenomenal score, bursting with hits including Summer Nights, Greased Lightnin’, Hopelessly Devoted to You and You’re the One That I Want, this thrilling new version is brought to life by a fresh young cast of T Birds and Pink Ladies.

Peter Andre told the Daily Echo: "Grease is joyous and will truly allow you to escape to a different time, with show-stopping dance routines and some of the most iconic songs of all time. It's a show about solidarity and it celebrates friendship, which is even more important now with how the last 12 months have been."

The show is directed by Nikolai Foster and choreographed by Arlene Phillips.

Peter Andre gained popularity as a singer in the 90s, best known for his singles Mysterious Girl and Flava.

He is also well-known for appearing on the third series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, where he met his ex wife Katie Price, also known as glamour model Jordan, and the 13th series of Strictly Come Dancing. He has been a regular on reality TV with several series devoted to his family life.

Grease first came to the stage in 1971 and followed ten working-class teenagers as they navigated the complexities of peer pressure, politics, personal core values, and love. It spawned the 1978 classic movie starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John and the 1982 sequel Grease 2 starring Maxwell Caulfield and Michelle Pfeiffer.

This tour is the first new production in 25 years of the iconic musical.
