WINCHESTER’S new state-of-the-art leisure centre is set to welcome users for the first time next month.

Everyone Active has announced today (Tuesday) that the new Winchester Sport and Leisure Park will open on Saturday, May 29.

Visitors will benefit from a wide-range of accessible facilities at the centre including a 50m swimming pool and learner pool, multi-use sports hall, 200 station fitness suite and spinning studio, two exercise studios, four squash courts, Crussh café and a hydrotherapy suite.

Alison Norman, Everyone Active area contract manager, said: “We are extremely proud and excited to announce that the centre will open on Saturday 29 May. We are looking forward to welcoming local residents to this spectacular facility which has something on offer for everyone – whether you are a keen swimmer, enjoy squash, or want to try out a new exercise class.”

Work started at the Garrison Ground in March 2019 and access to the site will be from Bar End Road where a roundabout and crossing has been completed by Winchester City Council.

Ahead of the new centre’s opening date, customers will be able to book activities via Everyone Active’s website https://www.everyoneactive.com/centre/winchester-sport-leisure-park/ or via the Everyone Active app.
